Two reasons for a smile

Now, I have something for the fans of the series ‘Moonlight’, it might just not be as a good news, but still we all, and here I include the fans and lovers of the vampire series, have a reason to get back a smile on our faces, though a little one. Well, the news is that the Sci Fi Channel has decided to telecast the repeat of the show, at 9 p.m. from 23^rd January. I know it’s nothing big as far as its new episodes and second season is concerned, but still something is better than nothing. We should always be positive and hope that soon we will get the news that the channel has decided to renew the series. And, I personally feel that the channel should do it soon, if it wants its fans to be happy.

And, now coming to the second one, on 20^th of January, the complete DVD set of the blood sucking series will be released. This set will contain four discs, which will have all the sixteen episodes of the series. But, yet there is no information if there will be any added material in the series. If that is there I am sure that will act like an additional incentive for the fans, to buy it. The fans who are dying to watch some more of the series will be pacified to some extent, by this additional information, if any is added.

Now isn’t that a good news for you all out there? I am sure this will help you get a little smile on your face. At least, you can now watch the series whenever you feel like or can even download it from this site, if you don’t want to spend much of money on it.

Besides, let’s just hope that the channel reconsiders its decision of renewing the series, for its fans.

Fans will not give it up

‘Moonlight’ fans are not at all happy with the channels decision of canceling the series that also after just one season. And, I guess, that the fans should not be happy also. After all, this was one series which did not deserve cancellation. It was liked, loved and watched by all and still it got cancelled. Now, this is not a fair decision, at least, if you keep in mind the viewers.

But, the fans are not going to loose hope and they will not give it up so easily. Fans are all set to tell the creators and the channel that they are not happy with their decision. The supporters of the show have purchased full page ads in the magazines ‘Hollywood Reporter’ and ‘Variety’, which will say that they want the series back. Not only this they have also decided that they will march outside Warner Brother’s office.

Now, this is the spirit, what say? When a fan wants something means that they want it and they can go to any extent to get it. I hope this all is more than enough to make it clear to everyone, that how much the series is liked and that it deserves another season. All that I am waiting for, at this point of time, is for the news that the channel and the creators have decided to renew the series with yet, another season. And, all this just to make the fan’s happy.

Keep it up fans; I am sure we all will get the result of our efforts, in a positive answer. Let’s wait and watch what will be the decision of the creators of the show.

Moonlight fame Alex O’Loughlin stays with CBS

Are you one of those who’re eager to watch Moonlight’s sexy vampire once again?

If so, then here’s good news for you. It was very embarrassing when CBS made an official announcement to cancel the series. Network is in mood to replace the series with one of its old series, most probably ‘The Unit’. But they are not in mood to lose one of their most loved characters, Mick St. John on Moonlight.
That’s why only the network has made a deal with this Moonlight fame under which he’ll star in a new series from CBS Network. The new show is supposed to be developed by Mark Gordon- ‘Army wives’ and ‘Criminal Minds’ fame.

What’d be the plot line? What’d be his role specification? When it’d be aired? No words on that… but at least it’s apparent that we all will get to see this sexy vampire once again on TV.
All hopes of Moonlight’s retrieval have been shuttered after Joel Silver, the executive producer announced that the show is over and any plans to resurrect it, are not true. Well, Alex will continue with the network but it’d be interesting to see… whether it’d be possible to make a fantastic show like Moonlight once again or not? I don’t know what does gonna happen but it’s sizzling sensation that at least our heart-throb is back.

Retaining him is a very brilliant decision made by the network as Moonlight gets success because of his superb appearance on series and Nina Tassler, entertainment president of the network has already said, “Popularity of Moonlight was due in large part to O’Loughlin’s fan base”. WOW!!! What a smart deal!

When Direct TV was in mood to adopt Moonlight!

After CBS’s announcement to cancel the series, there were some chances of its retrieval when rumors predicted that DirecTV may bring ‘Moonlight’ on board. Blogs and sites were over-flooded with the above topic and I really thought that series would be back and what happened? We all know that…It was nothing more than just rumors and it broke our hopeful hearts violently.

Well, I was hopeful by remembering ‘Friday Nights Lights’. DirecTV- they’re the people who saved FNL and it was not that difficult for them to adopt another successful series. Even things were dead sure, but don’t know what happened which didn’t let the network to take a wise decision.

And this all finally results is Moonlight’s cancellation. Fans are not in mood to leave this vampire drama and some campaigns has also been set to make them think once again. But chances are very low! Really, I am a hardcore Moonlight fan and do want more from series. Season 1 didn’t wrap the things in well-manner and how can we expect just a single season from a very famous TV show.

Season 1 and just season 1…. No more episodes from Moonlight! At least, I’m not satisfied with this little stuff; we need more and much more episodes from series. Hope, someone would care about the hopes of fans! Hey man! Moonlight is necessary to shed the dark away …. Really!!

Sonata- an end to Moonlight!

Let’s refresh our memories of Moonlight season 1 finale ‘Sonata’. Episode was aired on May 16, 2008 and this season finale becomes the series finale after the cancellation of the show.

On this episode, we do see that a human is killed by a vampire during the heat of passion so Mick and Beth must have to face mortality and immortality. It definitely causes them to ponder over the consequences of human-vampire relationships. The couple where one partner is a vampire and other is a human being begins the investigation of the case which puts Mick and Josef’s secret in jeopardy. Ultimately, both are forced to join with the other vampires in Los Angeles if they wanna keep their secret safe. So, here ends the moonlight.

Well, I think much more was there to air and series was not worth to cancellation. But still they cancelled the show. Let me ask a question form the producers: who’ll tell whether the secret is kept or it’s explored to everyone?? What happened to Mick-Beth relationship?? Does his wife returns or not?? What will happen next???

So many cliffhangers are left unsolved and no one is in mood to pick up the show once again. Let’s see if it is picked up by some another show or the chapter of moonlight is closed forever.
Hey!! Let’s burn the lights to get Moonlight back as we need more of the show and I think it’s the right time to begin a new campaign…….. Let’s have hands in hands to get it back otherwise say it a GOOD BYE

Moonlight- another insertion in the list of cancelled

So, Moonlight is cancelled!!!
Get shocked from the title??? Its true man as series is canceled as per the words of a representative of show.

CBS is not in mood to give another chance to series and rumors are that they’re replacing the show with some old show named ‘The Unit’. So, network doesn’t want to do anything more for the series… let’s see if it’s picked up by some other network…

I hope you still remember the story of Jericho when it was cancelled and thousands of pounds of peanuts were sent to the CBS network by the fans to get the series back… Jericho returns but was again unlucky and didn’t serve in the way expected by CBS. So, they just kicked out the show!!

Same is here with Moonlight…. After the season 1 finale, hopes of another season were high and nothing is here. Moonlight is one of the very rare shows on TV which gathered a strong and passionate fan base in a very short period. But the Television Critics Association’s event in Beverly Hills ended as a black day for fans of Moonlight when Nina Tessler announced her decision to ultimately cancel the series….

As per her words “The stuff with—the response to Moonlight was actually more actor-centric,. But—right now, like I said, I don’t question the choice we made.” She also confirmed that she still wants to work once again with Alex O’Loughlin.

Finally, they don’t want it back but fans do want it once again……. A battle is commenced …. Let’s see who wins- whether the creators or the fans…….. Well, my vote goes into the once again box!!

Moonlight- let me throw a light on the show

Okay! Just imagine for a moment…

You’re gonna get married to someone and the same person changes your life forever. Changes made by your would be are completely unexpected and you’re turned down into a vampire!!

Oh my Gosh!!! Seems scary and that’s why Moonlight can also be considered as a scary show. Series begins with Mick St. John whose would be wife Coraline turns him into an immortal vampire on their wedding day. SO, this was the beginning to a scary show and things go on when Mick tries to deal with the troubles of being a vampire as well as a private investigator.

Mick as being a vampire needs to drink blood and getting out in the sunlight is completely prohibited to him. Still he manages to his job by investigating the cases during the night and spending the whole day in the lap of sleep.

Show was brilliant and it was the first show whose plot was very interesting, for me at least. Mick’s second love Beth Turner, a gorgeous gal, newspaper reporter, her character was also like by the fans and I must say every one (star cast members) tried its best to make this show popular among the Americans.

A little about Moon Light

Moonlight is an American extrasensory romantic television drama which follows Mick St. John. He is a private investigator and an immortal vampire who was turned into a vampire by his bride Coraline on the couple’s wedding night 55 years prior. Nowadays, he’s struggling to exist after he was knocked down by his vampire wife.

Series follows him as he falls in love with someone; she is Beth Turner, a mortal as well as a newspaper reporter. She works for Buzzwire news service and accompanies Mick during his investigations. John works while facing the ups and downs of being an immortal and also deals with antagonists in the world of vampires. Series was a mix up of supernatural accent and suspense accents. Mick is supposed to drink blood and to avoid sun-light; still he manages to continue his job of a private investigator by working at night and sleeping in a freezer during the day. Mick also tries to avoid his lust for blood by developing a relationship with morgue attendant Guillermo who helps him by providing the fresh corpses. Other supporting characters on series are: Josef, as Mick’s best friend and mentor; police lieutenant Carl Davis, the single normal character on the show.

Series was premiered on September 28, 2007 and has recently finished season 1. Last episode ‘Sonata’ from Moonlight was aired on May 16, 2008. Series is cancelled by the CBS Network and all the efforts to sell it to some other network had failed so Moonlight, a great show with a great plot line is permanently cancelled.
